I paid salaries with borrowed N10billion

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, on Friday unveiled that his organization depended on getting N10bn before it could clear four months' compensation unpaid debts a couple of days to the last Christmas Day. 

He said the credit was added to the over N1.2bn that accumulated to the state from the Paris Club discount and in addition Kogi's November and December allotment before the accomplishment could be accomplished. 

The senator made the revelation while talking with State House journalists at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. 

He stated, "In Kogi State today, we are breakthrough to the extent installment of pay rates is concerned. In December, Mr. President generously helped us with another tranche of Paris Club discount. Our own was N1.2bn and some other change to finish everything (sic). 

"We didn't simply stop at that, we acquired up to N10bn and included November/December allotments to our figures previously we could clear four months' back payments at an extend before Christmas Day." 

From January, in any case, the senator said specialists in the state would acquire pay rates in light of the circumstances they were available at work. 

He proceeded, "As from this month, government employees in Kogi State will be relied upon to check in when they touch base for work, including at the nearby government level. 

"As individuals come to work and clock on, that is precisely how their compensations will be produced. It is on the web; it is computerized, so no one will cheat anyone. That is the course we are going in the state."
