Pensioners beneficiaries Protest As Retired Headmaster Commits Suicide Over Unpaid Gratuity In Osun

A resigned director in Osun State has hanged himself since he couldn't battle for his family – due to non-installment of his tip, Punch reports.

"Some of our individuals are wiped out, however there is no cash for treatment. We have lost more than 2,500 individuals since 2013 and one of our individuals in Ejigbo submitted suicide due to monetary hardship.

"We need the Federal Government to direct laborers and beneficiaries' review to know the correct number of retired people and specialists.

"We likewise beg the President not to pay facilitate intercession finance implied for compensation and annuity to Osun State Government in light of the fact that the cash will be occupied similarly as the past assets were redirected."

The Forum's Secretary, Mr. Sola Olojede likewise said that the resigned director slaughtered himself on September 29, 2017, at Masifa in Ejigbo due to the hardship caused by their unpaid benefits.

Yet, the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Adelani Baderinwa, rubbished the tumult of the retired people, portraying it as political.

He stated:
